Veterinary Acupuncture

Veterinary Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine that involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on your pet's body. It may be used in concert with other methods of integrative pain management for the control of acute or chronic pain.

There are various indications for the use of acupuncture as an adjunct treatment for specific diseases. Such as Chronic orthopedic pain,
especially:
• Hip dysplasia
• Other degenerative joint disease
• Postoperative (acute) pain
• Back pain (including nonsurgical intervertebral disc disease [IVDD])
• Lumbosacral syndrome

In this case, the patient has been admitted for regular acupuncture treatment to alleviate his pain associated with his long-term back issue with intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), and with stable and good clinical response.
